Position Title: Student Engineer
Position Summary
Hands-on opportunity to work on a variety of projects in our manufacturing environment supporting our current team .
Major Responsibility Areas:
Work will be 75% project focused with a variety of assignments related to product design, product testing and manufacturing processes.
Interact with suppliers, customers and internal associates to investigate problems, recommend and implement solutions.
Work will be part-time during the school year with a target of 15 hours per week. Flexible hours so students can work around class schedules. Work will be full-time during summer breaks.

Education:
A current Sophomore college student pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Chemical, Material Science or Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or Business with a 2.5 GPA or higher.

Dependable and eager to learn with a strong work ethic. Results oriented team player capable of working alone with minimal supervision. Strong trouble shooting and analytical skills. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable presentling issues and solutions to leadership associates. Prior work experience is desireable.

Physical Requirements
This position requires flexibility and coordintion. The ability to use hand tools and lift up to 40 pounds.
Mental Requirements
This position requires computer skills, the ability to use measuring and test equipment and interpret test results. It also requires managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.

This position is normally working in a clean, well-lighted high volume manufacturing environment. Position Title: Customer Service Coordinator
Position Summary
This position is our primary point of contact for all customer inquiries related to sales and marketing activity. Handle all incoming sales calls, customer quotes and orders and product information requests. Communicate 100% to all parties and act professionally as a customer first contact to KCI.
Major Responsibility Areas:
Receive and process all customer correspondance including inquiries, request for quotes, quotes, purchase orders, specifications, delivery information and complaints involving products supplied.
Initiate the approval process for new customers.
Prepare and issue customer quotes and maintain system for follow-up.
Input sales orders and assure adherence to customer delivery and service expectations.
Provide support to the Sales Manager and Plant staff related to customer correspondence and data.
Maintain sales and marketing literature and support trade show participation.
Maintain industry data related to market share and competitors.
Monitor KCI website activity and coordinate response to all inquiries.
Maintain sales and marketing data and reports.

Education
Two year college degree or technical sales experience equivalent.
Experience / Skills

Position Title: Quality Lab Technician
I. Position Summary
The function of this position is to assure product quality, integrity and safety to KCI's customers, vendors and employees. Work with manufacturing and product development to improve product quality and reliably meet customer needs while minimizing overall costs. React appropriately to non-conforming materials. Perform quality approved test methods.
II. Major Responsibility Areas:
1 Collect and perform analytical testing on incoming, in process and finished product to ensure 100% compliance with customer and KCI's quality standards.
2 Document and file all audits to record all testing data and enter into data system.
3 Communicate, retest, release and or investigate as necessary during any non-quality situation.
4 Calibrate and read micrometers and calipers. Read temperature measurement equipment and humidity gauges.
5 Perform quality/mechanical test methods. Perform set-ups for testing.
6 Read and understand work orders, blue prints an and equipment manuals.
7 Prepare test procedures and certificates of analysis.
8 Maintain inventory for all audit processes.

High School Diploma or equivalent.
2 Experience / Skills
Three to five years of related on-the-job experience and ASQ, CQT and/or CMT certification preferred. Efficient in Microsoft Office Products.

Position Title: Quality Engineer
I. Position Summary
The quality engineer is responsible for the effective implementation and maintenance of the quality system. This includes interacting with customers to assure we have all necessary technical requirements, understand how they are to be interpreted and effectively communicate those requirements to associates in our organization.
II. Major Responsibility Areas:
1 Assure all product testing is adequate and complies with applicable industry and customer standards.
2 Evaluate the internal auditing process to assure process controls are adequately defined and controlled.
3 Coordinate data collection and analysis to assure process control and capability.
4 Evaluate improvement opportunities and apply metrology and statistical methods to diagnose and correct quality issues.
5 Provide quality and continuous improvement training.

Position Title: Process Engineer
I. Position Summary
Responsible for the design, development and implementation of new or improved manufacturing methods, standards, testing procedures, and tool and equipment designs to improve operating performance, reduce
waste and delays, and achieve the most economic manufacturer of magnet wire. Responsible for a broad range of activities such as work measurement, plant and equipment layout, incentives, estimating and methods of engineering.
II. Major Responsibility Areas:
1 Design, document and improve manufacturing processes and improve process capability to assure compliance with customer specifications.
2 Assist in the direction of installation, maintenance, servicing, and repair of all equipment, buildings, and grounds necessary for the continuity of manufacturing operation as and the safety of plant personnel.
3 Interface with plant management and staff to facilitate and improve production capability to meet short and long-term goals.
4 Designing a development or manufacturing process by creating specifications, then installing and testing processes. Ensuring safety and improving quality and efficiency.
5 Set-up and training of processes.
6 Apply technical skills and knowledge to assess process capabilities and innovate, implement process improvements to improve productivity and reduce scrap and operating costs.
7 Develop and provide operational procedures and methods for machine operations.
8 Help launch new processes including machinery installation and setup, development of operational procedures, and the training of operators.
9 Reviews technical concepts of major projects, provides specifications to the Technical Services group for new customers and/or products, and assures that the specifications are appropriate to meet customer expectations.
